Well I ran the tri yesterday and finished. Which is good. I ran the whole run and swam the whole swim which were my goals. I also beat my training time according to my watch. 2:07.
Just got my official times:
Place | No. | Name | City | Sta | Code | Age | Sex | Swim | T1 | Bike | T2 | Run |
24 | 385 | Ron Davis | Kingwood | TX | I | 40 | M | 8:13 | 5:37 | 1:03:08 | 1:59 | 47:59 |
2:06:56 official time.
The place was not in the whole field of 400, but in the 40-44 year olds. Which was last.
Swim time was lower than I put in there. I pushed real hard on it and felt like I was going to puke when I got to the transition. Which is reflected in a 5 minute plus, transition time.
My bike is real slow. Didn’t realize it could make such a difference. The course was flat, which was good, but you went out in one direction and the turned around and came back the same way. After the turn around there was serious wind, which slowed you down as well.
By the time I got to the run, the sun was out and it was hot.
But I finished which is all that mattered to me.
