Following a link from the article in the previous entry I found an article about digital vs. film cameras. In the first paragraph the author talks about the change in resolution and price of Canon DSLRs. Here’s a summary:
Date | Camera | Megapixels | Price |
Late 2000 | Canon EOS-D30 | 3.1 | $3,000 |
Feb 2002 | EOS-D60 | 6.3 | $2200 |
March 2003 | EOS-10D | 6.3 | $1500 |
It is interesting to see the price go down and the quality go up. Also the 10D goes for $1099 on the street. There is the EOS-1D which is a higher end camera for $6399 that is 11.1 MP.
