Got to get controversial more often

on

I’ve had more comments in the last 24 hours than in the last week.

Publicola made an extensive comment about owning a machine gun in the US. He says its legal, if you pay a $200 tax and get your local police chief to write a letter for you. He also makes some good points about it being an unconstitutional even from an non 2nd amendment POV.

I knew if I made a some what derogatory comment about someone they would for sure come to my blog. :> Now I have to explain myself. I’ll do it in another post. No offense intended Publicola.

Tim Lambert posted a comment about the 470 figure in Lott’s post. I went to his site and he is one who disagrees with Lott and is on the other side of the on going controversy of Lott’s research. Personally I don’t know enough about statistics to prove for myself and others if Lott’s methodology is right or wrong. So far I haven’t heard his critic say crime went up and it going down is still being argued. Probably if you want to follow the controversy you should watch Lott’s website and Tim’s. (He did make a comment about updating blog entries that will inspire another post soon).

I do know I feel safer carrying and no one is endangered by that, so I’m pro-CHL.
