Oh My God I’m somebody now!

on

Glanced at my referrer list and noticed a link from the main page of the Accordion Guy’s blog, which I regularly read, so I followed it. And I’m in his blog roll! I’m reminded of that scene in The Jerk where he gets the phone book out and, on finding his name, says “I’m somebody now!”.

Have to say I find the inspiration behind his blog very cool, and a little depressing. He used to have it on the side bar of his site, but when he recently moved it didn’t go with him. Here it is for your perusal:

Back in high school, after reading Space-Time and Beyond for the umpteenth time and drinking one too many zombies with my friend Henry Dziarmaga, we came up with the theory that in the infinite set of universes — the multiverse — there was one particular universe in what happened to us right here was being watched as a TV show over there. We then made a solemn vow to live in such a way that we kept our ratings up.

Its inspiring because it makes me want to do cool stuff so I can blog about it. Like going to the gun show, learning to ride a motorcycle, etc. Its depressing because my life as a middle-age, middle-class father of two is pretty boring. Or at least it is boring in the parts I’m willing to blog about…..

I do add gratuitous beautiful women to get ratings up.

Side Note: It would be cool if Kung-Log supported traceback ping and other pings for Nucleus blogs. Of course I need to give the guy some money because I use Kung-Log all the time.
