  1. That happened here in Columbus, Ohio back in 1993.

The sniper was Mike Plumb of the Columbus S.W.A.T. team. He was using a Remington M700 Police rifle chambered for the .308 cartridge. He noticed that the gun always returned to the same position, dangling from the suicidal man’s hand down between his knees. He figured that he could hit the gun and leave the perp unharmed.

The shot was made from a small hill across the street. Mike had to place his round in a one inch square area from a distance of 65 yeards.

What is the moral of the story? Don’t screw around in Columbus.

    James
