Seems Garrison Keillor doesn’t like being made fun of. MNSpeak.com has some t-shirts parodying Prairie Home Companion and Garrison siced his lawyers on the guy.
The cease and desist order immediately benefits Keillor and hurts the blogger, which doesn’t seem fair, but that’s the way it works. What really doesn’t seem fair is Keillor is rich and can afford to pay lawyers to do this kind of thing and the blogger isn’t and can’t afford lawyers to defend his claim. He has to depend on the charity of others. Seems there should be some fix for that in the system, but the only one that comes to mind is that the government provide lawyers and that doesn’t fit my Republican mind set.
