Fitness Goals


I’m on the road to a turn around with my fitness program. I really want to go full bore on Body For Life, like I did a couple of years ago. But I can’t really make myself want to put that much effort in. The weight lifting is more the issue than the cardio. So I’m focusing on doing something.

I made goals for six weeks and for this week. In six weeks I want to be able to run a mile, do 50 push-up and 100 sit ups.

This week’s goals:

Get up every morning at 7 AM This is an hour earlier than normal. I just need to train myself to get up. So far I’ve done it.

Run 3 days Since Sunday I’ve decided to do this running program. Since I ran/walked on Sunday I’ve done day 1. It was raining and cold this morning so I couldn’t run. I don’t have an indoor alternative and it will be dark by the time I get home tonight. So running is off till tomorrow morning.

Do 3 sets of 10 push-ups and 3 sets of 15 sit-ups each day. Well I tried this Monday and could only do 2 sets of push-ups and 1 and a half of sit-ups. So I’m going to try and do these better each day.

I told myself over a week ago that if I exercised every day for a week I would go buy myself an iPod Shuffle. Part of this was because my current iPod doesn’t work correctly and is kind of big. I mostly use the iPod for working out and the shuffle is small and light and perfect for a 30-60 minute workout. But I know if I buy it before I probably wouldn’t workout. So I have to exercise first.

I didn’t do it to the first week. But I’m on track if I do my sit ups and push ups this evening.
