I was surfing and ran across Dan Dickinson’s blog and noticed an interesting side bar. It said what percentage of his life he had been married to his wife.
I decided I’d calculate this for myself and ended up writing a quick Cocoa application to do it. It also calculates and displays how old you are and how long you’ve been married to 2 decimal places.
I’ve officially been married 14.99 years of my 38.95 years. 38.49% of my life
I put in the date my first son was born in the marriage date field and I’ve been a father for 12.35 years and 31.71% of my life.
It should be noted that the percentage thing actually comes up for more than just my wife, it covers most of the major things in my life. 🙂
