Finding your type

Spoon’s pointed out this test of physical attractiveness and I took it. Fascinating stuff.

My results made me laugh because they really do point to what I would have said earlier. Redhead, fair skinned, blue or green eyes, relatively young, but not too young.

Here’s what they said for me:

In the test, you picked a relatively large number of women as attractive.

The choices you made in the test suggest you have strong, automatic preferences for certain types of women. You made your choices quickly suggesting you have clear physical instincts. A variety of features stood out as important to you.

  • Your photo choices suggest a woman over 45 is probably getting a little old for your tastes
  • You seemed interested in dating a woman at least 25 or older
  • Very beautiful women (like duh)
  • So-called “Ectomorphs,” or thin angular faces
  • So-called “Ecto-Mesomorphs,” with narrow chins and nicely angular faces
  • Blonde hair
  • Dark brown hair
  • Wavy hair
  • Straight hair
  • Long hair

Interestingly they didn’t specifically say red hair, though the photo of my ideal was a redhead. The ideal is also a little young looking.

Babeage: Ericka

Its been a while since I posted any picture of beautiful women, so here goes. I download a lot of pictures off I then put them in a screen saver and they cycle (no pun intended) across my screen during the day.

Ericka Hoffman came up in that list. She’s got a great girl next door sweetness being right on the border of cute and pretty. Naughty and Nice. She’s also got a great body with a wonderful mid section. A little research and I found Ericka’s site at SoCalRiders.

Just discovered while doing this post that there is an interview with her up on their site. (Which just goes to show the rampant testotorne poisoning in the sport bike world) And she has a yahoo group.

She also has gorgeous brown eyes. You know brown eyes don’t get the respect they deserve. It think it takes an uncommon purity of color to achieve pretty brown eyes but when you do they are great.

Think First

For the rebirth and growth of R.A.D. Productions, I first started thinking about it differently. I started asking different questions.

I knew RAD was a source of passive income, even though I had to work to produce the products, because even when I was doing nothing I still made money. It was a lot like royalties, you work up front and then get paid over time while doing nothing else.

So I started wondering, could I make more over time by putting in some effort in different ways? The big problem with RAD is no one in the target market has heard of us. We don’t get much press and do no advertising. So I immediately thought about doing some advertising.

But wait if I do advertising what is its goal? Obviously I want people to buy my products. So a user clicks on an ad and buys the product. Well there are a few steps in there and if I’m not set up for those steps I’d be wasting money advertising. So I asked myself, what happens when they click on the ad? They go to the website.

I have a tendency to be a usability freak, especially when it has to do with websites. Last time I did a redesign of the RAD website I was gung ho about blogging and essentially turned it into a blog. Problem is it is less focused on getting people to buy the product. You have to click at least twice before you can download the software. Its hard to find the advantages of the product.

So I decided I need to redesign the website.

In addition to usability the site need to look better, cooler and more professional. For this I need a professional. So I went looking for a graphic designer to design a logo for the company and redo the website.

Next time I’ll talk about how that went.

Business Blogging

One of the reasons I have a blog is to be a record of my life. I often post things I found that are interesting so that I can later go back and look at them.

I mentioned previously that I am focusing more on making R.A.D. Productions, my shareware software business, more profitable. So I thought it would be good to start blogging some of the things I’m doing and why. I would find this very interesting if someone else were doing it.

I’m creating a new category call business that will be strictly for these posts.

Today’s infinate wisdom.

I chatting with the Mrs about a family soap opera. One of her sister’s marriage is breaking up and it is at least partially her own fault. Ok the break is probably mostly her fault. Blah Blah Blah.

I realize her other sister, who doesn’t have the best marriage, is mature. I’d never really thought of her that way.

Chat went like this:

You know S is basically stable emotionally too.
She just made some dumb choices and lives with them.
She doesn’t sit around moaning about her life
Or even saying its not her fault. Or that it is. It’s just the way it is. And she deals.
I think that is the core of maturity
You realize life is like it is and you are responsible for making it as good as you can and are willing to.
You don’t let it get you down and wallow in it.
Or try to make yourself feel different via drugs
Or food
Or adultry
Or spending money
Maybe I’m not as mature as I think I am.

Take it for what it is worth.
